Where's Ethel ?

I ask the question because (so far as I am concerned ) her name has been missing fronm AB for some months.

It is my view that she was a lovely lady and , although it has been alleged that she obtained her answers from other Internet sites, her responses to my questions were comprehensive and taught me a lot about computer issues........ Ron

THE ED EMAILED ETHEL A FEW MONTHS BACK and never got a reply so she must of decided to go on to pastures new x

Hiya zz. Ethel kept in touch with me (and a few others from here, I think) outside of AB. That contact stopped abruptly and she didn't answer my emails asking if she was okay. I reckon that if she had plans to move on to pastures new, she would have told me or someone else on AB of her intentions. Also, I don't think she would just ignore the Ed's contact - that's just not Ethel's style.

She was a poorly lady in her 70's. I hate to come to a pessimistic conclusion - but sadly I can think of no other likely explanation.

Hi Kos.....I put the question into Technology because that is where I first had the opportunity of becomming acquainted with what I consider was a lovely lady who was very knowledgeble on computer matters. does viv ever post, as you have the username vivandorron? i'm the one (eth) who uses ours the most, but sometimes my husband uses it too, and his posts tend to be very up-front and aggressive. i've told him he ought to sign his as 'ron' just so people know it's not me posting, i wouldn't like to think people might be upset by him, and think it's me!!!

I must confess that I do most of the postings although Viv is always aware of what I have said. In fact she has to help me with spelling and is then annoyed when I still get it wrong.

We've discussed your problem and are thinking that you could re-register with AB under the name of Ethandorron. Surely everyone would recognise the minor change of name as still being you.

Such a change of name would enable both you and Ron to post into AB as individuals or as a couple; similar to our mailings.
