Hi all,

I am thinking of getting a new laptop because this one is pretty much an antique in the computer world, lol. Just wondering if I had a new laptop with Windows 7 on it would I be able to load on my Microsoft Office Suite from 2003 or would I need to buy a more up to date one?

Anyone know? Thanks x

Office 2003 will work fine on Windows 7 (you can bet Microsoft test all their releases of Office on each new version of Windows).
I'm running Windows 7 professional on an eee 1000h pc and office 2003 runs fine
Office 2003 will probably work fine on Windows 7 - I haven't tried it myself.

However, it's no longer under mainstream support by Microsoft:

This may or not be of concern to you.

Alternatively, how about going for OpenOffice? It's *COMPLETELY* free and will do everything that (almost) every user of Microsoft Office needs: http://www.openoffice.org/
MS ending mainstream support for a product has no relevance for the average user, it's only any relevance to corporate users who have support contracts with MS.

security updates and patches will continue to be released for at least another 4 years and to suggest that somebody ditches a perfectly good, legal copy of MS office to use open office instead is crazy.

Yes office 2003 will work fine with windows7.
