In an attempt to show my holiday photographs to my sister in law, I transfered the photographs onto a memory stick. It would seem that I moved my files rather than copy them onto my the stick I have since deleted these files. Is there any way I can recover these moved photographs from my main hard drive??

Off the camera or the memory stick? Is there a chance they'll still be on your camera's memory card?
If nowhere to be found, I've have some success with R-Studio in the past.

NEVER keep your digital photographs in just one place.

As a minimum create a spare copy in another folder on the same computer.

Better still copy them to a CD or DVD or another computer or external hard drive.

A computer or laptop can crash at any time and you can lose EVERYTHING.

Always work on the principle that the worst can happen, and you will get in the habit of always having extra copies of important files on another computer or external hard disk.
