Clearing memory

Having a lot of trouble downloading tv progs as it keeps saying memory too low, clear some? so i say yes and it clears some, but then says I should clear about 200mb and to go into add or clear progs. How do I know which ones to clear? There are lots of microsoft ones and some I have no idea what they are, but do not want to get rid of anuything important! Is there an easy guide?

You're confusing "memory" with "hard disk space" - they're very different.

Is your machine telling you that it needs more memory to run your download software, or more hard disk space to actually store what you're downloading...?

Says Memory is too low, I had more memory put on last year.

Go Start...control panel...and system...the amount of memory on your system will be stated there.

Says 1.25 GB Ram and 3.00 gHz
