sending photos as attachments

Hi, when I send or receive photos as attachments the first attachment appears under the message without me having to 'open' the attachment. What do I switch off to stop this happening. I only want the attachment to 'open' when I click on it. Thanks ,Gary

Not sure if this is what you mean. If you're using Microsoft Outlook Express open the Tools tab on top and click the Read tab. Tick the "Read all messages in plain text" and then Apply and OK.

btw. You should always have your preview pane off untill you see the senders' names and feel confident to open.

thanks wildwood will look at that. As to having the preview page turned off I did that some time ago but cant remember how I did it ! can you enlighten me ? as I've been asleep since then.(it's an age thingy)

View tab - Layout. If you want to be able to switch the preview pane on or off at your heart's desire, hit the 'Customise Toolbar" button and add the preview pane option as an icon to your toolbar on top. While you're there you can add other option you use in OE too. Makes live easier.
