I am not very good with computers, but I have always had IE as my browser. When I had trouble with my avatar I decided to get firefox. Got my avatar no problems. Now when I view chat on IE I see bobbisox avatar as Bettyboop, but if I view through firefox I see a young lad. So is IE at fault or firefox or my computer? Don't speak in jargon, I won't understand. Avatar must have been changed. Delete the cache (Firefox/Clear Recent History/Cache) or try refreshing the page

caslass, im having the same probs.
my usual browser is aol and it still shows my first avatar and peoples old ones
firefox shows my 2nd and peoples old ones
but IE shows my current one and everyone else latest ones
i cant fathom it out ..
ive tried deleting history and refreshing, but aol and firefox still do not change ...

I don't think you understand albags. IE would not change my avatar. I had to shut down and go in again via firefox to get it sorted. no amount of refresh or Ctrl F5 would sort it. I was at the point when the next person said F5 I was going to send sluggzse and the boys round.

If there is one avatar applied to the account, it is impossible for different browsers to display different ones.
AOL is like a virus .. with it's own operating system, strategy, and file banks. Anything could happen with that.

If you delete all the cache .. the browser has to reload all the info from the page.

Unless there is some server peculiarity which distinguishes between browsers (which I doubt) it must be cache.

It stems from poorly written code, the only way I can get everyone's latest Avatars is by running CCleaner. CTRL-F5, signing out and even shutting down the browser doesn't work.
