Some programs (which don't appear in the list of programs to uninstall) have their own uninstall application, which is accessible via Start>All Programs. (If the unwanted program has a small arrowhead next to it, clicking on it will reveal a list of sub-programs - which might include the option to uninstall).

Other programs require you to download an uninstall application in order to to remove them from your PC. Here's the uninstall application for Smartdraw 2010:

A useful free program I use is Revo Uninstaller.

Removes all files / folders and also checks registry

^ There is nothing like an original or proper uninstaller. Use something like that, and sooner or later it will mess up your Registry and PC.
AlBags, are you referring to Revo un-installer? If so, how will the registry and PC be messed up?
These "universal" uninstallers look for uninstallers, but they can also try to uninstall anyway, make a hash of it, and leave entries behind. If any of those entries are wanted by Windows during, for instance, startup, there will be errors.
They really are not a good idea.

Thanks everyone I'll trawl my way through your replies!
Revo is fine, it only takes a quick check of the registry entries that it flags to see if it has found something that is used elsewhere. I've used it many times during the past couple of years and it hasn't caused me any problems; very few of those occasions have I had to untick the found entries.

There are lots of programs .. supposedely well-written, that leave loads in the registry when properly uninstalled.
You know.. that Incredimail program leaves behind over 600 entries. Always be there unless you manually uninstall.
One of the reasons PC's eventually slow down.
