when i try to burn a playlist onto a cd i insert a blank disc and a message pops up asking me which application i want to open it in, i choose itunes and click ok, i then click 'Burn Disc' at the bottom right of itunes and the 'burn settings' message pops up, i click burn and the words 'please insert a blank disc' appear in the top cache. dont no what to try............ any suggestions welcome.
I'm no expert but I wonder what burning programme you use. I use 'Ahead Nero' and have never burned a play list before, but have just tried it and it worked OK. Like many PC programmes it's not exactly simple but it did the job. Hope this might help.

I get this a lot - it seems my pc doesn't like some kinds of disc. I check the disc on 'my computer' and it says it's blanks but when I try to burn on it it says the disc is not blank. It's infuriating and the only thing I've been able to do is change the type of disc cos I can go through a whole pack with the same thing happening.
For what it's worth, I always burn music etc first on to an RW disc then if it's OK and playable you can copy it on to a standard CD or DVD disc.
If it isn't OK then you simply erase what was on the RW disc and try again.
This can save wasting a lot of ordinary CD-R and DVD-R discs.
Just a thought!
