Thanks to chuck, I have now managed to open the street view of Google by moving the little yellow man. However, on some views, I can only see one side of the road, and not the houses on the other. Is it the way they have filmed the roads, or is there a way of viewing both sides of the road? I put in the address I want, but can't always see the correct house. Thanks all.

I take it you have rotated the view?
No you turn the picture around by using the directional arrows at the top left....
This can be done by adjusting the view by turning the north point round 180 degrees

Great, sorted. Thanks
You can also move ALONG the road(either direction) by clicking on the white line
or if you hold down the left mouse button anywhere over the streetview picture and move the mouse about you can just drag the view around to look whichever way you like.

There are a few streets missing from street view (my parents road for example! they are gutted LOL)

they may include the missing ones at some point in the future (unless it's a private road, in which case they are not allowed to)
