i just recieved one of those fake emails asking me to confirm all my HSBC banking details for security reasons.........funny that, ive never banked with HSBC .
And you expect them to do something about it? Just delete it like everyone else does. No point in forwarding them. That makes you as bad as the spammer.
I get loads, pretending to be all the banks. One recently said it was from the Ryoal Bank of Scotland.
The latest scam, that I have received a couple of times, says it is from HM Revenue and Customs. They say their calculations show I am due about £800 in tax refund. All I have to do is give my bank details for them to credit it to me.
That's an inspiring idea, Wazza... but could wind you up in trouble. Surely giving someone's details out like that would make you complicit in a crime, should a fraud take place?
