24 - Recorded from Sky onto disc

Wonder if anyone can help. My uncle recorded all of Day 8 of 24 and put them onto discs for me. However when ive tried to play them back the dvd player is showing "no disc". Ive tried a couple of the dvd players in our house (all of which accept copy dvd's) and the laptop but everyone is coming up with the same message "no disc". However, he actually checked the discs before giving them to me and they worked fine on his DVD player. Does anyone have any answers? Many thanks :-)

He may have to finalize the recording on his DVD to enable it to be played on other dvd players, I know I do. He will find finalize in his menu if that is what he has to do.
