Is it possible to highlight a few photos from a folder and then downsize them at the same time prior to emailing them using Gmail?? Thanks!!

Not directly, AFAIK.

Have you considered zipping them...?
There are several programs that will batch resize images including Irfanview which has a batch image conversation/resize built into it

when you've installed it start the program and select batch conversation/ rename from the file menu

This is from a different version than is available at the moment, but the principle is the same, just the exact location of a few of the buttons has changed.

Mark I sent some zipped photos to myself but as far as I can tell they can be "grouped"but they're not reduced....or are they??
CF I have Irfanview installed already,other than selecting the photos I couldn't see a way of grouping or reducing in size but that's me I guess!!!! Thanks to you both!!
irfanview...... click on image click on resize / re-sample stick higher or lower numbers in the box highlighted apply....... make sure the preserve aspect ration box is ticked

Hi deggers 316,you can reduce the size with this method but not but not more than one at a time as far as I can see,which was the aim of my original post
Did you look at my second link, it's a video showing you how to resize a batch of photos at the same time.
ok but all my pics are different sizes so i would one at a t time

My apologies CF I was working my way through the replies and forgot about your second half answer.I've had a quick look and quick is the operative answer it certainly goes through at a pace if you let it I'll have to give it some time to digest it all properly,thanks again!!
