High definition are not on sale yet and it will be  a few years before they are. I suppose plasma are the future.
Forget the Plasma!!!! LCD displays are gonna leave them behind. Plus, plsamas are very expensive and dont last as long.
Also, we had our TV repaired recently, the repairman told us that Plasma TVs are expensive to fix.
Also, don't forget that Anologue TV signals are going to be turned off in the next 4-8 years. So any flat screen TV you buy will not be able to receive signals (except via an external set top box). You will then not be able to record one programme and watch another at the same time. So any TV you buy now will not be future proof unless it comes with an integrated Digital TV tuner.
