When you choose to subscribe on BBC, choose the iTunes option.
This will load the podcasts to iTunes on your computer. If you want to listen to tem on your iPod, then sync your iPod, and before removing/ejecting your iPod, click its icon in iTunes in the left menu under devices, this will give you a sync menu bar. Choose podcasts and click Sync Podcasts, and Sync Unplayed Versions. Resync to get new podcasts.

Now I know I'm being thick but when you say 'chose the iTunes option' how exactly do I do that? It starts asking me questions about applications which I haven't an earthly's about. I think I have chosen download before and then somehow transferred it to iTunes - I just can't remember!
