Google trouble

I suddenly find that as soon as I place even one letter in the Google search box I get a whole screenful of anticipated links which change manically as I type more letters....I hate it!

I want to fully type my request and THEN press search only if I WANT to.....any ideas please?

click on the spanner symbol in top right.
then click on options.
click on under the bonnet and untick the second box down.
click on apply or OK
