My computer 'C' drive is full, but my 'E drive has plenty of space apparently! I don't know exactly what that means but am assuming I could just move some files, say, my iTunes library, from the C drive to the E drive??
Or is there a bit more to it than that?
And how might one go about doing that?!
Thanks in anticipation
What is your E drive,is it a partition on your hard drive or something else and does your E drive have enough space. you should be able to copy and paste, then if it pastes OK you can delete the original files when you need the space.
Thanks for the speedy response jomifl,
The E drive shows as a hard drive in 'my computer', the 150GB storage that I supposedly have on this computer seems to be split almost equally between the C & E drives, although everything seems to have been automatically stored by default onto the C drive. and I have almost 73GB free on the E drive. However, if I right click a file then highlight 'move to...' the E drive doesn't show as an option.
Open up yoru C drive, the open open yoru E drive. You can then just drag and drop files from C in to E. Don't move any program files though or you may find they will stop working. Just move data.
Thanks square bear, I have tentatively tried that with acouple of photos that didn't matter if I lost them, and it worked!!
If I only had a brain!!!
Thanks again
