Hidden windows

When I shut down or restart my pc (I am using XP pro & I.E 6) I have small end program windows popping up. One is NET Window, the other PEER LISTEN Window. They are NOT showing in the add/remove programs list. Anyone know an easy way to get rid of them and tell me what they are please?

I am using AVG 7 and AntiVir antivirus programs, Zonealarm, popup killer, AdAwareSE, but they go undetected.

could be some software burried in another program.. use to be a prob with Kazaa and other such spyware supported "free" utilities.

If you look hard enough you can often find versions of this sofware someone has "cracked" so it is spyware free.

If it's not that - then i'd reccomend downloading spybot - search and destroy. Its a brilliant little spyware killer, and much better than adaware. (my adaware picked up about 10 bits of malicious code, spybot, ran immediately afterwards, got around 2000+ and sorted out my problems :D)
