windows 7 back to vista

My laptop is windows vista but has been programmed to windows 7. How can I put Vista back??

And if you have a legit copy of windows7 and it's all working then why would you want to go back?

well I bought the laptop for a friend, who had it changed, then, I bought it back when they needed money, i don't know who changed it for him. He was not very good with computers so i know it was'nt him!

I prefer vista, as it is on my pc!

It should tell you when it loads up.

You would be better off upgrading your PC rather than downgrading your laptop.

Do the startup screens look the same as your PC?

See, Davethedog, the laptop was downgraded to whatever came before vista! I thought it was windows 7 but i was wrong!

So its on XP? I am interested as to why you like Vista.

You should have written to Microsoft, you are possibly the only person in the world who preffered it to XP. :-)

Windows 7 came after Vista.
Maybe it has XP on it, that was earlier.

Do you have the installation disks? This is probably your only chance as I don't think you can buy it anymore.

You should also be aware that sooner or later Microsoft will no lnonger support it.
