Windows media player will rip to MP3 perfectly well and then pretty much all MP3 players (other than iPods and some sony ones, that I know of) don't need anything special to transfer the MP3 files to them, you just plug them in, they appear as an extra drive under my computer and you can drag and drop the files onto it.

have you got the cd or do you need to download it? if you have the cd simply tranfere it to your pc in windows media player you dont need a special programme. plug in mp3 and click on the cd title and move it to device the instructions are easier to follow than for me to try and explain. but i have done this many times and its always worked for me. hope this helps.
Thanks for all your help guys but I am unable to transfer the 16 new songs either by "drag & drop" or by "send to" command, to her MP3 Player. I can send them to a pen-drive (no problem at all)...Could it be that I have accidently locked the MP3 so as it has barred any further additions? If so, how to I go about unlocking it? I guess I could put all her existing music either on my PC or pendrive and defrag the MP3 before reloading....I'm at your mercy...thanks in advance....Tel
