no dave i am not a paying member, i didnt think it was worth it as i dont have broadband, thanks for your reply

Then you don't actually have anything stored on your hard drive to download. You stream music from Spotify, it's not physically stored on your computer.

If you're worried about losing your music when you change to a new computer or do a clean reinstall of Windows then don't worry, that info is saved in your account information. Just install Spotify, log in with your username/password and your music will still be there just like before.
