I do realise I might be asking how long is a piece of string, but would anyone have any idea how long the batteries in a full-sized wireless mouse should last in hours? I've recently bought a Trust Easyclick model fitted with two AA batteries and I'm hoping they'll last a while - the last wireless mouse I tried about 10 years ago used to need a new set of batteries every week and I returned to a wired mouse in disgust!
I had a Targus Wireless Mouse it took two AAA, the batteries lasted only few days. Now I'm using Logitech Optical Tackman with rechargable batteries, it last about 2 months whilst normal Duracell batteries last more than 6 months. The newer wireless mouse should be an improvement on battery life such as the new Logitech M570 which uses one AA battery suppose to last for 1 year.
I bought a logitech laser mouse (M505) about 2 1/2 months ago.
I haven't had to change the (Duracell) batteries yet and I'm on my computer for at least 3 hours every day, sometimes with a hell of a lot of clicking if I'm doing art/music work.
Thank you all for your advice. I'm especially pleased that rojash uses the Easyclick mouse himself and can speak with some authority! I'm a lot more optimistic about the battery life now.
