.avi files only sound

Hi all - Iv downloaded a cartoon in .avi format. The problem is is that i get no video, only sound. Iv tried in the latest Winamp and media player 10, but its not working. Any ideas?

I also have had this same issue with alot of downloaded video. I'm beginning to think it has something to do with the person we are downloading from rather than a problem on our end.

My standard answer is always "codecs", especially if someone else can view it OK (or you have no problems on a 2nd PC)

To update your codecs, put:
ACE Mega CoDecS Pack
into google and download all the bits to fix your wonky media player.

try download DivX player from www.DivX.com . Its free. I think it will solve ur problem.
