Hi, I hope someone can help me please. I was downloading a new ps3 game and it was taking ages to load, so I stopped it and an error number came up? now my playstation is not working. Can someone tell what's wrong . Thankyou

Error code may help us. Also a better description of 'is not working' i.e. not working at all or only accesses menus etc etc

You can play dvds and access the menu's, as far as the number is concerned I will have to get back to you with that thankyou.

If you can play DVDs and access menus then your PS3 *IS* working. It's important to be specific about what the problem is because saying that it's not working evokes visions of it being completely knackered.

When you say you were downloading a game, was this from the PS Store? Is it that the console no longer plays games? Have you tried going into the menu and checking for a console software update? If not, you should do this first and see what happens.

If you go in your ps3 settings,Im sure you can reset it all back to factory settings,this should wipe all the updates and errors and start it off as the day it was new! Once done that,you can then do all the updates again to get it back upto date!

Tried resetting and various things but still no good, ended up buying a new ps3. Thanks for all the input.
