Is anyone else experiencing problems with BT Broadband ?
Ours has been playing up all week, suddenly switching off then coming back on again within minutes or sometimes a few seconds.
It's very annoying.
We haven't changed anything at all in our house ad we do nothing when it is cut off except wait.
The helpline given on the website was singularly unhelpful. It said that they were experiencing difficulties with their website, then directed me back to the website if I was having trouble.
Thanks.
I had the same issue and found myself having to reboot the laptop. the router seemed fine as internet was still accessible by skype/email but no web browser
When ours cuts out, everything goes. No internet, no e-mail , no skype.
We have a desktop and a laptop and they are both affected.
It is intermittent, though, and seems to right itself fairly quickly.
Still very annoying.
does it affect your house telephone line also? broadband is very easily affected by interferrence so do you have the router plugged into the BT master socket or another telephone point in the house?
We have a separate BT line for Broadband.
The router is plugged into the master socket via an adaptor. (Does that make sense ?)
We never use the telephone on the same line as the Broadband.
Everything has worked perfectly for months and months now until this week.
I live near Heathrow Airport, and we have only had BT for 3 weeks or so, so I thought this was normal! Today quite a few times broadband has disappeared, then after 30seconds or so later it comes back. When we had Virgin media we often didnt have internet access for days at a time, so this seems kind of ok!
Hi grasscarp.
Maybe BT have a problem at the moment.
As I said, the helpline did say that they were having trouble. I thought it said withtheir website, but they speak so quickly and indistinctly that it is difficult to know what they say.
when we started out Ladyalex we had problems with the email, so they logged in so that they could do things on my screen. Quite impressive and quickly sorted things out.
