built in freeview but have a dish for freesat

My TV has built in freeview. I also have a dish and have bought a freesat box.My problem is I can't figure out which buttons to press on my TV and freesat remotes to allow me to scan the available freesat channels. eg AV,TV/DTV
Any help welcome

Get Freesat on the TV screen
Find main menu .. look for setup or similar .. add or search for channels/ scan

My TV is a JVC with built in freeview (no freeview box) and it's a Bush freesat box.
All 140 channels have downloaded but I'm having to view the entire list to select a channel and if I want to change channels I've got to view the entire list again.(I can't get channel up/down to work)
