yahoo mails containing my name

when I send people an email from my yahoo account I always has my full name on there, sometimes I just don't want this, my email address doesn't contain my name on purpose but peoples inbox say's email from **** ***** my full name.

I have gone it my 'profile' in the yahoo option and sure enough my full name is there and it said 'visable to all 'connections' so then I chose the option 'no one' and I have tested it by emailing a friend and it's still showing my name...any ideas

Try this :

1) Click on Help (top right hand corner)
2) Mail help
3) Edit Account info
4) Edit Profile details
5) Edit
6) Save - after making your changes

I have the same problem. I have just tried the instructions given in the first answer and sent a test email to myself. It`s still showing my name. As you say, it`s something to do with connections (whatever that is). Sometimes, while using Freecycle for example, I don`t want people to know my name. Would be interested to know how to blank it out.

Just change your name to your initials instead?
