Connecting blu ray player to old home cinema system
1 Answers
Hi I have a panasonic scht855 home cinema system, approx 4 yrs old. It is HDMI. I run my Sky box through the receiver using optical cable. Would I be able to run a blu ray player through this system and still be able use the settings provided by the old av receiver, or do I need a new blu ray receiver. Cheers technophobe

If you want them both connected at the same time you'll have to choose which one you want connected to the optical (gives you full surround sound) and which one to connect to the normal RCA analogue input (stereo only, no surround)
You can't have them both connected for surround sound at the same time.
