Fuengirola. A large town about 10 miles west of Malaga, on the costa del Sol In the province of Andalucia. A beach resort favoured by many, Brits included. Its made up of many streets, some only wide enough for 1 car
There is evidence of Roman occupation and Arab (A castle to the west)
The town holds a very large flea/fruit and veg market on a Tuesday morning. And a very large car boot/antiques market on a Sat morning.
There are plenty of shop/bars/restaurants in the town, and a Zoo.
It is easily reached from Malaga centre or from the airport via the Cercanias electric train every 20 min. The train calls at Torremolinos and Benalmadena amongst other stations.

There are 2 stations in Fuengirola. Los Boliches a high level stop, and Fuengirola terminal, an underground stop end of the line. Fuengirola can also be reached by bus. www.avanzabus.com
Temperatures can reach 40 degrees+ in August and even a pleasant 20 in winter.
