Have any of you been to see the stage show of Chicago or know someone who has?
I believe it's on in Glasgow this week.
I've been trying to find a trailer for it but not having any luck.
I’ve just checked the Glasgow show out and there are some well known people in it so I imagine it is the London production on tour. We saw Darren Day in Joseph. Excellent.
I saw the 1999 West End revival as a friend of mine was in it. It was revived again in 2018. If you are a fan of Bob Fosse's choreography it should be worth seeing
I have seen Chicago twice in touring shows. I loved it both times, obviously with different casts. I think Mamy’s clip is brilliant, if you want to know what it’s going to be like. Whoever’s starring in it, they will be good and the performance won’t be dissimilar from Mamy’s clip.
Love this musical. Got tickets for the touring show in Aberdeen early next year. Also going to see an amateur production in my home town, again next year.
I saw Chicago in London many times in the Noughties. It has a very flimsy storyline, just enough to tie together some fabulous songs and dance routines - the latter being Bob Fosse style - which are what the show is all about. The performers and performances I saw were truly brilliant. I love it. My Favourite number is Me & My Baby
My favourite one was when Marti Pellow from Wet Wet Wet appeared. Always liked that band and it was great to be sat just a few seats away from him when he appeared on the stage !
