hot holiday october?

I am not allowed time off during the peak summer season, as I work in the tourist industry. So I have to chase the sun at Autumn time in other parts of the world. Do you have any suggestions on where would be hot in October? (My definition of Hot meaning warm enough to swim in the sea.)

Egypt, Florida, Australia? How long do you have for your holiday?

A lot depends on how hardy you are. If you ever indulge in swimming in the sea around Britain then most of the Mediterranean would be blissful. But if you want warmth then the Kenyan coast or more distant/expensive places would meet your requirements. If you are prepared to think beyond the bog-standard holiday image, you could see and do lots of interesting things yet always consider a lake or a pool for swimming which gives you far more options.

I went to Cancun in October 2004 and it was 110 and fabulously hot but with a great cool wind off the sea.

Cyprus is still nice and warm in October.
You can expect daytime temperatures of 25 - 30 degrees C.
About 8 - 9 hours of sunshine daily.
Night temperature is about 16 - 20 degrees C.
Sea temperature 24 - 25 degrees C.

Florida is usually pretty good that time of year or closer to home (assuming you're in the UK), Gran Canaria has pretty steady climate (mainly hot)

Or the canaries. Still hot in Oct, but a lot quieter than during the summer months. I've been swimming in the sea on xmas day before and it's not cold.
