on the 1st May next year i will be 60 years old and are planning a short stay in Dubai with the intention of going up the tower on my birthday .
has anyone been up the tower or can advise on a reasonable place to stay over about 3-4 nights

Good luck in finding a reasonable hotel, I don't think there are many; but I've only visited while staying on a ship.

Le Royal Meridien`s good and the food (especially the buffet breakfast) is great.
