Train Return Tickets
4 Answers
I am travelling liverpool to london on monday afternoon and coming back tuesday - but i don't know what time i am returning - expecting a mad night so i just want to go for the train when i'm ready to leave - is that allowed or do i have to go on the journey that is on the ticket?
is there even a time printed on return tickets?
i realise you generally choose a time when buying online, but if i buy from the station will i have t choose a time?
i know the departure will be on there i guess
i am not looking to reserve a particular seat or anything
thanks
thanks

If you buy an anytime (heaven forbid) or off peak return you will be able to return on any train (off peak if that's what you have bought within a month. You son't have to specify a time -even if you do you will not be bound by it
Looks like all the really cheap advance tickets for Monday have gone - the off peak fare is £77.30 is going to be your best bet - leave after 0900 and return avoiding the morning and evening rush hours
r you could look at the slower but cheaper London Midland service - takes an hour longer with a change at (usually) Stafford. From £29 return
