Hi, I would REALLY appreciate ANY helpful advice on this one...
Although I've looked and read (as much as I can without getting bogged down with legalisation and dos and donts)

In brief:
Daughter (half Chinese half Englsh) FULL UK Passport. Born and bred in UK
Wants to travel to Shanghai bit of sightseeing, then pop over to Hong Kong bit more sightseeing then back to Shanghsi for return flight back home to UK, total trip of approx 11-12 days
We're all set to book... BUT it's the Visa stuff that's bogging me down.
I can read the info but it's not making much sense?
Can I book flights THEN sort out visas? Does she apply for visa in person? Online? By post?
God it's all too confusing to me!!
I'm wondering if to ring the embassy? And ask someone to explain in laymans terms? Or pop into a travel agents to ask?
Arrrgghh I/we just don't want to mess it up!
She's wanting to go in March
Thanks for any helpful advice! Be MUCH Appreciated! : )

You need a Chinese visa period....a multiple entry one.

HK, you need nothing for up to a 6 month visit.....why not go the other way around and the planes are better - in going Cathay and its sister airline Dragonair.
BTW Be sure to visit the museum in Shanghai. The building itself is a masterpiece.
