I'll admit that the museum was (far) better when it was the National Museum of Film and Photography but it still has some good special exhibitions (such as the works of great contemporary photographers, such as Martin Parr).
Sir Alec:
MK has actually got a greater variety of architectural styles than many other towns which were developed around the same time. (Ever been to Basildon?)

I have to admit that driving to/from/around or anywhere near to Milton Keynes can be an 'interesting' experience if you've not consulted a map beforehand ;-)

I`ve never been to Milton Keynes but I think it is like Basingstoke in that it is one of those 1970s planned towns. About 10 years ago someone wrote an alternative tourist guide to the UK and their description of Basingstoke was:- M3, roundabout, duel carriageway, roundabout, housing estate, petrol station, tart (!) duel carriageway, roundabout M3. The locals were incensed but it was funny.

'Duel' (?) carriageway, 237SJ. Well it could hardly be called boring then, could it? ;-)
