We had a great time every time we went. The Jewish Memorial is very atmospheric, Brandenburg Gate is a must as is a wander along Unter den Linden. One time we went to the top of the Bundestag building but the queues go on for ever so it depends on how long you're there as to whether you can be bothered to wait. The zoo is worth a visit if you like animals and Potsdam is not far away on a train if you fancy something else to look at. The Dom (cathedral) is beautiful and when we were there you could climb to the top from where you can get great views. The tower in Alexander Platz is also a good place for aerial views. The Nikolai Viertel is a good place to wander around as well and it's a good idea to try and visit both the east and west sides of Berlin if possible. One place I would avoid is Check-point Charlie - a really touristy place and not my sort of thing at all.
Hope you have a lovely time.
