I have. My hubby surprised me with a day out there for my birthday. Love this place so much, the people are really friendly. We shopped in Liverpool 1 , then we went on the Yellow Duckmarine, which is a fab tour of Liverpool which ends up with the vehicle driving into the dock ! Strange but true, its a sort of mini bus which goes on water aswell. Then we went for a meal in Miller & Carter in Albert Dock. We live just over an hour away in Uttoxeter, and can't wait to go back.

Liverpool is a great City to visit with loads to do.
Nice to see positive comments for a change rather than negativity supplied by those who have never been there in their lives.
It is very easy to be judgmental and Liverpool has been unfairly critisised by those who are jealous of what the City has to offer.

Its great isn't it ? Never been to Brighton but have always wanted to. Although not a city, just a town, my favourite place EVER in the UK is Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Hi whitbybabe, I used to live in Uttoxeter till about 6 years ago, enjoyed living there lots!.............

I agree redman, haven't been to Liverpool for a few years now, but have visited often in the past, and always enjoyed!..........
I have never been to Liverpool or Brighton so will put them on my list
I have a friend recently moved to Birkdale. She went on a trip to and around Liverpool recently and is totally in love with the whole place.

Wish I could walk better and take the trip myself.

Uttoxeter is only little but we moved here from our home town of Derby 17 months ago.Not going back either . We are close to M1 and M6 so days out are easily accessable,ie; Liverpool, Whitby, etc. We will be doing our Christmas shopping in Liverpool this year.
Whitby, I like living in Uttoxeter, very central, and nice little town, and yes Christmas Shopping in Liverpool is a very good idea!.......

Love Whitby as we were married there Christmas Eve 2002. Best day of my life, apart from giving birth to my son.We spend a week there every Christmas, so snowy and relaxing. The people are similar to Liverpudlians as in they are so friendly.
Oh, sounds lovely!.......have been to Whitby once, years ago now!..........but remember that we enjoyed our visit, must do it again soon!............

Its a fab place,we usually nip up for Gothic weekend in October. We're not Goths, but the atmosphere is spooky and the people come all dressed up for the occason. We were sat in a little cafe when a vampire asked if he could borrow the salt from our table ! Not joking either. Ok it was a man dressed as a vampire, but spooky all the same.....
Being from Liverpool, I can't stand the place and couldn't wait to escape to somewhere civilised. And, don't forget that we have a wicked sense of humour!!
This is a handy link for anyone visiting the City.

I was there on Saturday shopping. I love Liverpool and would much rather visit there than Manchester any day. I had a lovely lunch in one of the restaurants in Liverpool One and then a coffee and wonderful amaretto cake in the Italian Club cafe on Bold Street.
I thought it should have read,
"We shoplifteded in Liverpool 1 , then we escaped on the Yellow Duckmarine,"

Sorry Whitybabe couldn't resist a tease.....and not meant!
