Cyprus in March
Has anyone been to Protaras in Cyprus in March? We went in September and the bars and nightlife were great on the 'strip' Just wondered if it was as good in March or if everything was quiet before the summer. Thanks.

IMO it depends whether it is only a tourist resort, or whether the locals use it as well. Where we went in Spain, the locals filled the restaurants every day, and promenaded, so it was still busy, but not all the shops and entertainments were open, and the beach was almost empty.
My wife and I spent two weeks in Paphos in January a while ago. The weather was lovely - about 75 degrees and sunny all the time. We had a hire car so we toured the island. Mount Olympus was knee-deep in snow with the ski centre full of skiers. We then drove down to Limassol and spent the afternoon in warm sunshine on the beach!
It depends what you are looking for Scotstone. Cyprus is lovely and quiet off-season. You have most of the tourist sites to yourself and you can often be the only diners in a restaurant. Everything is cheaper too than during the holiday season.
If you are just looking to go clubbing and get drunk - why bother going to Cyprus? The clubs and bars are mostly shut at that time of year - which is exactly why we go! You can usually get sick and legless in your home town can't you?
