ps. lonely planet is the book i used when traveling through thailand, cambodia, laos and vietnam. its worth its weight in gold. i suggest you get yourself a copy and plan your route if traveling. you can purchase a snide copy of it over there (very cheap) but you don't want to waste your time reading when you should be exploring. pps. the kangeroo cafe does a mint breakfast and is run by an aussie couple (names escape me) they also did at the time a good trip to halong bay (nominated for one of the natural wonders of the world) well worth it if you have the time and a few spare dong. (not too expensive as i remember)
