Hope this helps.
Your luggage allowance will depend upon the airline, but if it's a charter it will be less than a scheduled carrier. Watch out fr the breeze, as it masks the effects of the sun until it's too late!
TOP TIPS.
Take everything your 'Rep' says with a pinch of salt. The welcome meeting on holidays is nothing more than a sales pitch. Remeber they are on commision for everything they sell.
I live 10 mins across the water from Lanzarote, and its fairly similar, Internet cafe's and phone shops are cheaper than the 'Phone cards' they try to sell you. Excursions are always cheaper booked direct (look out for local guide books).
Ask other tourists for their favorite bars. If you ask similar age people, after a few conversations you wil know the places to go, and more importantly NOT to go. and made a few friends in the process.
Enjoy yourself!!!!
Yes Garry, listen to Bob A Job's advice about your rep's advice at the welcome meeting, don't buy excursions from them as you will be able to book them much cheaper yourself. We have saved 50 for a family of five on one trip in the past.
One thing we always do is check what time the check-in starts and make sure we have plenty of time to get there for that time. It may mean being in the airport for a bit longer but hey, it's all part of the holiday and it's better than sitting in a traffic jam wondering if you're going to make it.
Also, don't be fooled by timeshare touts who badger you in the resort. They'll tell you you've won a TV or holiday or something which is a load of pish. You'll end up wasting three or four hours in a hard-sell environment. Just walk on past them as they can be very persuasive.
If you find you need to make a complaint about anything, make sure you register your complaint with your rep, especially if it can't be resolved there and then. This will help you if you try to claim compensation when you return. I'm not advocating you do this just to 'try it on' but only if you have a genuine complaint. This helped us in 1997 when half of our hotel was demolished while we were in Benidorm. Happy Hols!
