Considering going to the Closing Ceremony on 12th but one concern (apart from cost !) is how easy it'd be to get home, 'specially it being a Sunday.
I usually drive to Hounslow East tube & take it from there but how late will the tubes run ?
Would consider getting an overground train but looks like they stop around 11:30pm.
Thanks

check with local station as some train operating companies ( theives of taxpayers money) are running additional trains during this festival of sport.
Depends where 'home' is. There are trains (National Rail) from Waterloo to Wimbledon/Surbiton/Woking until well after midnight. Vaguely the right direction from London
You could drive to Feltham instead of Hounslow and there`s a South West train from Waterloo at 0118 getting in 1/2 hour later.
My main concern would be the cost of the tickets. How much are they if you do not mind my asking?
A one day travelcard from Hounslow (the original idea) would be £8.50 but they`re only valid until midnight so if someone came home after that time, they would have to buy another ticket. It`s not expensive though.
Travelcards are valid until at least 0230 (National Rail)and arguably 0430 next morning (TFL)
Oh sorry, do you mean the cost of the closing ceremony tickets? I thought you meant the trains!
They are supposed to have synchronised rules but I'm not sure it's happened
The tickets that are left for the closing ceremony are £1500 or £995 each face value.

If you can afford them you could probably run to a cab home too?
