I ask this because yesterday i actually went in atravel agents and booked accomodation with them, has anybody else done this, returned to the old ways?
I too have booked flights and accommodation through travel agents this year. They were very helpful when trying to arrange a holiday in Florida followed by Kentucky to visit a friend. Changed our minds, and I went to Kentucky by myself earlier this year and then we're all going to Florida in a few weeks, but I was impressed by the travel agents knowledge and understanding (as I changed my mind YET again!), so booked everything through them.
I booked through a travel agent this time as he got on exactly the same website as i did and got the accomodation at exactly the same price as i was quoted by the website. the advantage being that if something goes wrong then i have a person who can do the fighting for me.
Going to Rhodes in a couple of weeks and booked it all at the travel agents. Saw a holiday I fancied went along to the travel agent told them what I had been quoted, asked if they could match it which they did - and they threw in free insurance!
