average rent prices

I'm trying to find out the average rent prices for various residential house, apartments, flats etc. in various regions around the UK.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this info.

There seems to be lots of information on the US and lots on house prices in the UK but I haven't been able to find anything useful for rents.
