Can anyone suggest where I could find somewhere to this Christmas where there will be nothing to remind me that it is Christmas, preferably somewhere that allows pets too.

If you are staying in England that's a tough call but you could try The Pillar, it's a Jewish hotel which is sort of self contained but in London, but more like a country house and very, very nice. You won't see much Christmas there.

Jehovah Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas, if you are friendly with one then blag an invitiation.

I have a friend who is a JW and he and his family go camping in the Lake District over the festive season.

Kabul not much in the way of christmas there, don't think they would mind the odd pet as theres that much S**T laying around anyway certainly some were to get away from it all the year round.

You can't even escape Christmas in Saudi Arabia, VHG - there are decorations, carols and tacky music in many shopping malls and restaurants

@Mcfluff.....dont want to be at home, I will be there on my own, way I see it is if Im staying at home alone might aswell get away from it all with a change of scenery....

if you can leave your pets at home or get pet sitter i spent xmas in Laos, i wouldnt have even known it was christmas unless i looked for it there.

Try staying at home. No decorations, cheese on toast for dinner etc. Just please yourself what you do.
