Thanks Boxtops .... have been googling more personal experience, but hadn't see the website your link takes me to so thanks for that!
It's a very cultural city so there ARE lots of galleries etc (which don't interest you!) but there are some beautiful locations not far outside the city, if you fancy a trip out. It's years since I lived there, so much has no doubt changed!

Thanks Boxtops - no,not an art fan - prefer architecture and outdoors!
Haven't been into the city for years.

Pollok House is interesting, there was/is the Transport Museum, Kelvingrove Art Gallery used to be more than just art.
It's worth taking a look at the river - the Clyde just keeps on rolling!
I would go and see the Charles Rennie Mackintosh museum.
Go to Sauchiehall Street, then up Rose Street (a steep climb), turn left at the top and keep heading westward on foot, and you'll see plenty of examples of different architectural styles.
As you pass Renfrew St you can visit the CRM museum as Gavmacp suggests.
Saturday walk with the School of Art?

Glasgow is my favourite city in the world.

I am endlessly fascinated by the Architecture on display. You don't have to go looking for it, it is all around you.

Glasgow Art Gallery is sooooo much more than a collection of 'paintings on the wall'.
The Willow Tea-rooms in Sauchiehall Street is a stunning example of CRMs work.

Wish I was going with there, too, now........:o(
