I would highly recommend this place, although it was a few years ago when I stayed there http:// www.orc hidsuit es.com/ we had a proper kitchen and dining room table so could cook in if we wanted to. It's on the doorstep from Graumanns, Kodak theatre, Walk of Fame etc. It's impossible to be central to all of LA because it's so vast, you 'll definitely want to hire a car if you also want to see Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills etc
