Snow still piled up. Only single track cleared. Leaving the car at home and biking it to work. Hills sort the men from the boys, Bradley Wiggins would need a breather with these hills

I hoper you got there OK, Spikey.

Around here (in Suffolk) it's very much a case of "Snow? What snow?".
Same where I am in Lancashire - only I can see snow on the hills, but there's none where I live!
cambridgeshire

woke up to snow yesterday morning .... it's all gone now
Nothing at all down here, but it's pigging freezing - if it did snow, it'd stick.

I'd be working from home if we had any snow, jj - I can't believe you have any in Brighton!
JJ, what is that sign in your post about? I've noticed them on quite a few of your post.
Isn't it a twitter thingy?
No, boxy ... I mean I work from home ... always ...

My office is in my second bedroom.
It is, indeed, a "Twitter thingy"

Ah, I see - mine's not an option, there are less desks than people in our department these days. It's the way things are going, flexible working.
#hotdesking?
Sorry to bother you JJ - On my screen it looks like nothing related to Twitter. What is it suppose to do and how does it work? Is it something attached to the name JJ or whatever name you choose?

On my screen it looks like the symbol above the 3 on the number 3 key.
It's a hashtag, society

No, not hotdesking, so much as sharing desks across a team.
You've got a foreign keyboard, Society!
(A British one has £ above 3)

Hashtags are meaningless to me but, for those who are asking, this might help:

society ...

prefixing a word with a #hashtag is just a way to highlight a word or phrase that is pertinent to what you have just typed. For example ...

Only little faffy snow showers every now and again in Manchester, we've escaped any bad snow at all this time so no problems other than going out dressed like an eskimo as it's so damn cold! Standing at the bus stop before 6am is a bit chilly a the mo!
Hey, Chris x
// Standing at the bus stop before 6am is a bit chilly a the mo //

Err, nope. Sorry, is that a foreign language.

I don't understand the phrase ... "before 6am"
I have fiddled with my keyboard and changed things. I do have the pound but I press shift and 3.
