Not a question just wanted to let you know that though ethylotests (or whatever they're called) have been made compulsory in cars in France since 1st March, nobody will be fined for not having one (or two). If you are stopped by the gendarmes they will only advise you to have them.
When it was introduced last year there was allegedly 6 months grace after which you would be fined.
You need to have 2 IN THE CAR not boot ans of an approved type.
You can get them at Halfrauds or off eBay no problem.
Yes, but as a French citizen I just want to let people know that they will not be fined if they don't have them in the car, they will only be advised to have them. No need to pay over the odds either, they can be bought at the counter in shops such as Feu Vert for 1.50€
