Welcome to Nungate Towers. After opening up this meeting of the MoFC, I'm afraid I shall have to retire to my chambers as Queenie has thoughtfully shared her cold with me and I feel rotten. (thank you Queen)
Tonight's Tailcock will be the Royal Ascot (since I've been there in spirit since Tuesday) and the Hot Plate Special comes from the great institution that is Giovanni's Fish, Chips, Pizza, and Mafia Safe House! Giovanni is bringing us the full range of his menu, there will be everything from Cod and chips to white pudding suppers, and a full range of Italian Ice creams to boot! (myself I fancy some tutti frutti - might help my sore throat) The Minstrels are back in the gallery, warming up their usual selection of Madrigals and Toccattas, and later in tonight's festivities they will break out their own tribute to Iron Maiden (heavens preserve us!)
The hot tub is bubbling away on the north tower, and the mini bar has been refilled, the bungee is springy and awaiting anyone who fancies jumping into the abyss, as always the race track is available for members use, the park and surrounding grounds are available to all members of MoFC as are the swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) the lake with it's rowing boats and the maze (keep turning left!)
I'm sure Igor and maybe Queenie will be on hand to assist any members with any difficulties or questions. I may pop in later in the evening depending on whether or not the lemsips have the desired effect.
Evenin' all
Have I got the wrong week? I'm 'ere in me knock-off Chanel gown and me cubic zirconia for the Ball.
'Owever, I don't mind getting chip grease down me front.
Evening people. Late again. Been rescuing my pot plants (including my olive tree) which have been blown around the garden. So depressing. Too risky to be on the broom tonight so had to hitch a lift on a passing helicopter. Hope it did not frighten the piranhas.
A Royal Ascot if you please Igor.
I'm not sure Mammar
Evening Daisy - is it a bit windy down your way? We have had sun, rain, sun, rain, sun, rain......all day probably best you didn't fly the broom this evening
Good Evening Ladies, I'm sorry that Madame is indisposed this evening, I think in her misery she'd forgotten all about the midsummer ball. Mark you with all this inclement weather we've had recently might be best to have it postponed.
I'm sure Madame will see to things when she has made a full recovery.
I have your drinks, ....
Big hugs to Nungate.
No, on second thoughts, I'd rather pass on the germs but be assured I am sending you good vibes for a speedy recovery.
In the meantime, Igor, would you kindly set me up an intravenous drip of the Tailcock, please?
Good evening nungate hope you recover quickly and Queenie, for the ROFL I bring all the beaten Ascot dockets, the hat I stamped on and 15 bookies' pens. A tailcock, please.
Sorry to hear your incapacitated tonight your nungateship hope you improve quickly even if it is queenies fault !.
For the roffle I have one Flymo lawn mower blade ( knackered, bent and got chunks out of it), one set of big end bearings suitable for a 1964 Triumph Herald and 16 tea lights ( wicks missing ).
Igor, good evening to you and queenie, A bucket of Royal Ascot if you please and a generous portion of that old Mafia favorite cod and chips Please.
No worries, Igor. I can soon nip to Albert Square Market and get another gown for the Ball. Can't be seen in the same frock twice, don't you know.
Deep fried pizza is a delicacy I've not tried before. Oh well, in for a penny . . .
You look lovely mammar. Stuffed my dress in my backpack but if the ball is being postponed will hang it in the snug. The wrikles might drop out by the time we have it. Pity for nungate to miss out. Send her my best wishes. Would she like my feel better even if you are not spell? Got the book somewhere.....
