Believe it when you see it! There won't be any surplus buses or drivers, will there? The tram is very restricted in its route.
Will the trams need drivers?
They will probably take bus drivers to train and be inter changeable...not due to run till next summer....not holding my breath....not as if they will be of any real use to the normal Edinburgh folks..unless to go to airport...but there is already a good airport bus !
Just over a BILLION pounds including interest eh! Well done Edinburgh city council.
Complete waste of money !
Exactly. I believe they're building a moon rocket next and I understand the route will be slightly more useful.
Will there be wenslydale ? Lol....
Now there's an idea for today. A little drive up Wensleydale. Smashing cheese Gromit lad.
for the amount spent on this white elephant, the A9 could have been upgraded over its entire length. Instead, motorists are going to continue to die needlessly until 2025.
Just one slight problem there mush, ECC aren't responsible for the A9.

Thanks for comments but I still wonder what will happen to the extra buses once the trams are running.
//ECC aren't responsible for the A9...//

that's true enough Zacs, but neither are they responsible for roundly two thirds of the construction cost of the tramway - that's being supplied by the Scottish government.
