friend of mine may be moving to Norwich but has never been there before - what's it like living there? good and bad points please

I'll have you know you young whipper snapper that Fakenham is a good old fashioned working town. Very down to earth!!

Hmmmm - pleasant enough but rather a culture-starved backwater with no motorway escape-routes. And they all talk funny (having being born in Norfolk I'm allowed to say that!) Is there a Waitrose there?

I lived in Norwich City (Sprowston Rd) for 5 yrs, moved out to Wroxham (Marsh Rd) for another 5 yrs, so am I allowed to mention the Natives quaint custom of high-sixing each other when there is something to celebrate?

Waitrose in Cringleford, very middle class area.
